About the event

In recent years, the circumstances surrounding corporate activities have changed significantly. As various social issues come to light, such as changes in worker awareness due to the spread of remote work, the urgency of taking measures against environmental issues, and diversifying social conditions, companies are being asked to not only pursue profits for their own companies, but also to develop "management strategies (sustainability management strategies) that realize a sustainable state from the three perspectives of the environment, society, and economy."

What will companies need as they face the pressure of corporate reform to improve profitability and achieve long-term growth while also addressing environmental and social issues?

One is co-creation with local communities and companies that are constantly working to address environmental and social issues.

First, to secure human resources who can think for themselves and proactively bring about change, and to stimulate interpersonal exchanges.

We believe that workation has great potential as a place to stimulate co-creation and interaction.

"Together with our colleagues, we will think about the future world we want to create and take it upon ourselves to make it our own."

Workation creates new connections, allows people to face society, and takes steps forward together. These experiences will ultimately lead to the sustainability of local communities and companies.

This event will feature an in-depth discussion between three leading experts in the field of workation, followed by a lively discussion with participants to delve deeper into the true value of workation, which will be necessary for the coming era.

The panelists are Professor Tanaka Atsushi, a leading authority on workation research who has served as an advisor to the government and helped formulate guidelines, supporting the introduction of many different types of workation; Irie Shintaro, a leading authority on workation promotion who is leading the spread of workation in Japan in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including government, companies, and practitioners; and Muramatsu Tomoyuki, a leading authority on workation co-creation business who is involved in commercializing workation platforms and promoting collaborative business between companies and local communities.

As these three people, who are active at the forefront of workation, talk to us about the possibilities and challenges they see, let's consider together the true value that workation can bring to companies and to the future of Japan.
